I thought this gloomy weather was the perfect weather to post a new wedding while sipping on some hot tea that was given as a gift from one of our sweet couples (Thanks, Tina and David!). We’re non-stop working, building and making for all of our 2014 weddings, and we’re so thrilled for everything coming up! While we are getting ready for our next wedding in March I am also prepping for my short trip out to Venice, Italy in a few weeks for a wedding!
I still feel absolutely blessed to be able to work on this wedding alongside Maggie and Liz from our CCL team. I find myself pinching myself at times to make sure I’m not dreaming. This small company started from my dream to be a wedding planner when I was just 14 years old. I still remember the first Fall 2003 Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine I picked up and fell in love with all the pretty little details. With all the unconditional love and support from my friends, family, the CCL team and all of our couples, the company has grown and we will continue to strive to bring dreams to reality!
Talk about bringing dreams to reality for one lovely couple that I had the pleasure to meet over 2 years ago in New York who said I do this past September 2013. I was in NY for the New York Gift Show in January 2012 and luckily has been conversing with Juliana through email beforehand. We had planned a lunch date during New York Restuarant Week at an Italian restaurant, which was also my first time trying parpadelle and now cannot stop ordering it everywhere I go. We connected over our lunch and within a few weeks began to work together on their 2013 wedding at Westlake Village Inn.
It was a beautiful garden wedding that included a sunglasses station as a nod to the groom’s staple look while playing in poker tournaments (check him out here!). For our gorgeous bride, a spectacle station was set for her blooming career as an optometrist. Guests were invited into a dancing room after dinner where Coolhaus served custom ice-cream cookie sandwiches. Glow sticks (just like they have in Vegas) were passed out to get the party started and was one party that didn’t end even when the music turned off.
Juliana and Matt, from the first time I met the both of you in person I knew I would LOVE working on your wedding. Your story is definitely an original and I was so happy to be a part of your wedding planning journey! Please let me know when you are back from Vancouver so we can grab lunch or dinner! Love and miss you both so much. Congrats again, Mr. & Mrs. Jarvis! xoxo
